Fall and Halloween 2026 in Mt. Juliet and Wilson County: The Family Guide
Fall in Wilson County peaks the last weekend of October, when the churches, the city and the Lebanon square all throw their Halloween events within about a day of each other. Before that there's a free heritage day at a 1930s farm and two nights of telescopes at Cedars of Lebanon. Here's the season in order.
October's first weekend
Astronomy Night Under the Stars at Cedars of Lebanon — Fri., Oct. 2, 6:30 p.m., free with an optional donation. A sky talk, then telescopes. Bring chairs and a red flashlight, and leave the light-up shoes at home. It repeats Sat., Oct. 10.
Sadie Ford Heritage Day — Sat., Oct. 3, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., free. The 1920s-to-'40s farm inside Cedars of Lebanon State Park comes alive with mule wagon rides, butter churning, homemade ice cream, a blacksmith, old-fashioned games and face painting. This is the best free family day of the fall in the county.
Mt. Juliet Fall Fest — Oct. 3, the city's own fall festival.
Halloween weekend, part one: Oct. 24 and 25
Halloween in the Park — Sat., Oct. 24, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Charlie Daniels Park, free. It's Mt. Juliet's big one, with costume contests by age group starting at 11:30.
The Glade Church Trunk or Treat — Sun., Oct. 25, 3 to 5 p.m., rain or shine. Decorated trunks, candy and photo spots. Families of kids with special needs get early access at 2:30, with a respite tent on site.
First Mt. Juliet Fall Fest — Sun., Oct. 25, 3 to 5 p.m., free. Carnival rides, a trunk-or-treat, food and games.
Halloween on the Square in Lebanon — Sun., Oct. 25. Downtown Lebanon's Halloween on the square. The start time hasn't posted yet, so check back.
Halloween itself: Sat., Oct. 31
Halloween in the Grove at Fiddlers Grove — 2:30 to 4 p.m. Trick-or-treat stations through the historic village, free hot dogs, games, a photo booth, a costume contest and a ghoul parade.
Chills and Thrills in the Campground at Cedars of Lebanon — 4 to 8 p.m. Campsite-to-campsite trick-or-treating and hayrides, with a costume contest at 5. A sensory-friendly, low-key trick-or-treat runs 4:30 to 6 for small children. Non-campers over age 2 need a $2 presale ticket, which goes on sale Oct. 4 and is limited, so set a reminder.
