10+ Family Things Around Mt. Juliet This Week
Movie in the Park closes out its 2026 season this week, the Mt. Juliet Fall Fest happens at Circle P Ranch on Saturday, and the state park at Cedars of Lebanon hosts both a stargazing night and the Sadie Ford heritage day. Around those, the Mt. Juliet library keeps the free weekday programs going, and Breeden's Orchard is on the list again because it keeps earning it.
Here is the week, Thursday through Wednesday.
Thursday, October 1
Preschool Storytime at the Mt. Juliet library — 10 a.m. Stories, songs and puppets in the lower-level activity room, for preschoolers and the grown-ups who bring them.
Pizza Night at Breeden's Orchard — 4:30 to 8 p.m. Fresh-made pizza on the farm, and you pay only for what you order. The orchard bills it as fun for all ages.
Friday, October 2
Science Fridays for Homeschoolers at the Mt. Juliet library — 10 a.m. (repeats at 1 p.m.). A hands-on science class taught by a library volunteer for 4th to 12th graders. Bring a notebook and pencil.
Story Time at Breeden's Orchard — 10 a.m. A gentle hour of read-aloud stories and open space to run around, for the little ones.
Astronomy Night Under the Stars at Cedars of Lebanon — 6:30 p.m., free (donations welcome). A night-sky talk followed by telescope viewing at the nature center. Bring lawn chairs and a red flashlight.
Movie in the Park: Hook — Starts at 6:55 p.m. at Charlie Daniels Park, free. The last outdoor movie of the 2026 season. Dusk comes earlier in October, so the show starts before 7.
Saturday, October 3
Sadie Ford Heritage Day — 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., free. A living-history day at the Sadie Ford Heritage Farm, part of Cedars of Lebanon State Park. Kids can try old-fashioned games, butter churning and homemade ice cream, ride a mule-drawn wagon and get their faces painted.
Story Time at Breeden's Orchard — 10 a.m. The Saturday session of the farm story hour.
Mt. Juliet Fall Fest at Circle P Ranch — All day. Family fun and fall favorites at a century-old Mt. Juliet property. Check the event page for details and updates.
Pickles for Pups Pickleball Tournament — All day at Charlie Daniels Park. A charity tournament that benefits local animal welfare, and a fine excuse to bring the family out to the park.
Tuesday, October 6
Baby Rhyme Time at the Mt. Juliet library — 10 a.m. Songs, rhymes and books for babies and toddlers. No registration is required.
Krafty Kids Craft Drop-In at the Mt. Juliet library — 1 to 4 p.m., free. Kindergarten through 3rd graders drop in to make a craft, with all supplies provided.
Coming up: Halloween planning is underway, with Halloween in the Park and Trunk or Treat at Breeden's Orchard on Oct. 24, the Glade Church Trunk or Treat on Oct. 25 and Halloween in the Grove on Oct. 31. The holidays follow fast: The Dancing Lights of Christmas drive-through show opens Nov. 7 at the Wilson County Fairgrounds, the Lebanon Christmas Parade is Dec. 6 and the Mt. Juliet Christmas Parade is Dec. 12. It is all on the Mt. Juliet family events calendar.
