Mt. Juliet’s Fall Lineup: Two More Movies, a Yard Sale, Market Night and Halloween in the Park
<p>Mt. Juliet Parks & Recreation has a busy stretch coming, and the nice thing about it is the logistics: nearly all of it happens at Charlie Daniels Park, and nearly all of it is free. Here is what is left on the calendar between now and the end of October.</p>
<h2><a href=”https://mtjuliet.com/event/hibbett-hall-conductor-keith-august-2026/”>Conductor Keith at Hibbett Hall</a> — Saturday, August 22, 2 to 4 p.m.</h2>
<p>If you have a kid who stops walking every time a train goes by, this is your Saturday afternoon. The N.C. Hibbett Hall Train & History Museum opens for two hours with Conductor Keith running the HO-scale layout and fielding every last question about it. The museum itself is a nice small look at a Mt. Juliet most of us never saw — the era when passing rail cars could outnumber the people who lived here.</p>
<h2>Two more <a href=”https://mtjuliet.com/event/movie-in-the-park-little-giants-2026/”>Movies in the Park</a></h2>
<p>The outdoor movie series has two dates left at the Charlie Daniels Park amphitheater, both free, both starting at dusk:</p>

<p>Start times move through the season because they are tied to dusk, so the listed time is the real one — plan to be parked a little earlier. Bring a blanket or camp chairs, let the kids run until the projector fires up, and grab concessions on site if you would rather not pack a cooler. The October date is the season finale and, frankly, the better weather of the two.</p>
<h2><a href=”https://mtjuliet.com/event/mt-juliet-fall-community-yard-sale-2026/”>Fall Community Yard Sale</a> — Saturday, September 12, 8 a.m. to noon</h2>
<p>Unlimited vendors take over Field 2. It is the good kind of chaos — kids' clothes and toys on one table, furniture and tools two tables down, and the playground right there when the browsing runs long. Come early if you are hunting anything specific; the tables thin out well before the noon close. Bring small bills.</p>
<h2><a href=”https://mtjuliet.com/event/mt-juliet-market-night-september-2026/”>Market Night</a> — Tuesday, September 15, 5:30 to 8 p.m.</h2>
<p>Local businesses set up across the park for a weekday evening. It lands in that useful window after work and before bedtime, and the playground and walking paths are right there when the browsing stops holding anyone's attention.</p>
<h2><a href=”https://mtjuliet.com/event/halloween-in-the-park-2026/”>Halloween in the Park</a> — Saturday, October 24, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.</h2>
<p>The city's biggest event of the year, and it earns the title. Hay rides and pony rides, the trackless train, inflatables, games and prizes, and costume contests running by age division through the middle of the day.</p>
<p>Contest times are approximate, so arrive early. Judging starts around 11:30 a.m. with pets, then works down through the age groups — under 1, then 1 to 2 years, then 3 to 4, and up from there.</p>
<h2>One standing note</h2>
<p>Ava's Splash Pad at Charlie Daniels Park is on a reduced schedule for the tail of the season — Saturdays 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays 1 to 5 p.m. Worth confirming before you drive over on a warm September afternoon, since seasonal hours change without much notice.</p>
