Forty-Eight Vendors and Counting: Mt. Juliet’s Home for the Holidays Turns 14

Five weeks from now, one Saturday in November will fill up with tables, candles and the smell of baked goods, and the date is already spoken for. On Saturday, Nov. 14, 2026, the 14th annual Home for the Holidays returns to 1110 Charlie Daniels Parkway, with doors open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is the city's own calendar that marks the date, and the vendor list is already long: 48 makers and small businesses are confirmed, with more still signing on.

That number matters because of what kind of market this is. Home for the Holidays has never been a rack-of-mass-produced-gifts affair. The confirmed lineup leans handmade: bakers and treat makers, crocheters and woodworkers, glass and bead artists, jewelry makers, candle and scent makers, lavender and botanical growers, a floral designer, a photographer and a few 3D-printing crafters. Add home decor, puzzles and learning materials for kids, a handful of direct-sales names, and a few food vendors serving lunch, and a shopper can plausibly cross a good share of the holiday list in one sitting.

The setting carries its own bit of local lore. The park along that stretch of Charlie Daniels Parkway takes its name from the late country-rock fiddler Charlie Daniels, a longtime Mt. Juliet neighbor, so a November market of local makers there feels like a hometown tradition.

There is plenty for people who are not shopping, too. Students from a local voice studio led by Amy Lechner are scheduled to provide live music through the day, and Santa will be on site. Photos with him are free, but the family needs to bring its own phone or camera.

Plan to make a day of it. The market's event listing has the date saved, our guide to Christmas and holiday events in Mt. Juliet and Wilson County maps out what comes after it, and if the browsing works up an appetite, the where-to-eat guide covers the barbecue, pho and local favorites within a short drive.

The city's wider fall-to-winter calendar has Mt. Juliet's Christmas Parade on Dec. 12, so this Saturday sits near the front of a long run of seasonal dates. Vendors still hoping for a table should look to the event's Facebook page, which is where the organizers are directing questions.
